A seasoned musician of 20 plus years who has a passion for Quo as he says "the best band he's ever seen" can raise a few eyebrows with his ability to burst into song at after parties thrashing out the 12 Bar Blues. Holding a BA Honours degree in Social Science, he's the deep one in the band, the one who can sort logistics in seconds and see things "out of the box" We always know where we are how long it took us to get there and how long it takes to drink a whole pallet of water to the second and how many gigs we have done in a year to the hour. We call him Rain man!!!
Enthusiastic drummer and supporter of everything Saor Patrol has to offer, Marcus threw himself into the band with a passion in 2005
At the time a Great Bass beat keeper although even then you could tell he just wanted to go mad on more than one drum. Having stepped up to that mark when others left he now rattles all the drums at various time in the varied sets Saor Patrol now have. He keeps the crowd entertained and on their toes with his antics and humour on stage. He lights up when a set of sticks are put in his hands.
Surprising to some he also has a strong attraction and love of Techno, Garage and hard core Dance . He loves it !!!! yes he really does!!!!
Many's a night we have lost track of him only to find him in the centre of a dance crazy crowd giving it LARGE!!!
Marcus is also a volunteer for the Clanranald Trust for Scotland and is an active site manager on site at Duncarron where he has people skills that have brought many people from the justice reform system to realise that projects like Duncarron are more beneficial and successful in keeping people from re offending.
